This paper presents the derivation and implementation of a second-derivative hybrid block method with stability parameters for the direct solution of second order initial value problems in ordinary differential equations. The method is developed using interpolation and collocation techniques to obtain continuous formulation, which is evaluated at selected grid and off-grid points to generate the discrete block scheme.
