Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
Jana Nexus: Journal of Computer Science is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. The journal expects authors, reviewers, editors, and publishers to adhere to ethical principles that ensure the integrity, transparency, and credibility of scholarly communication.
The journal is dedicated to publishing original, high-quality research and maintaining the accuracy of the scientific record. Any form of unethical behavior is considered unacceptable and will be addressed appropriately by the Editorial Board and Publisher.
Duties of Authors
• Authors must submit original work that has not been previously published or simultaneously submitted elsewhere.
• All sources, data, figures, and references used in the manuscript must be properly acknowledged and cited.
• Authors must ensure that the research presented is accurate, truthful, and free from fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of data.
• All individuals listed as authors must have made significant contributions to the research and approve the final manuscript.
• Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest that could influence the interpretation or presentation of the research.
• If a significant error is discovered after publication, authors must promptly notify the journal and cooperate in correcting or retracting the article where necessary.
Duties of Reviewers
• Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts objectively, fairly, and confidentially.
• Reviewers should provide constructive comments that help improve the quality of the manuscript.
• Information obtained through peer review must not be used for personal advantage or shared with unauthorized individuals.
• Reviewers should identify relevant published work not cited by the authors and report any suspected ethical concerns or plagiarism.
• Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest and decline review assignments when impartial evaluation is not possible.
Duties of Editors
• Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based on the academic merit, originality, quality, and relevance of submitted manuscripts.
• Editors must ensure a fair and unbiased double-blind peer-review process.
• Manuscripts shall be evaluated without discrimination based on nationality, ethnicity, gender, religion, institutional affiliation, or political beliefs.
• Editors must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and reviewer identities.
• Editors should take appropriate action when ethical complaints or allegations of misconduct are received.
Publisher’s Responsibilities
• The Publisher supports editorial independence and ethical decision-making.
• The Publisher works with editors to investigate allegations of research misconduct, plagiarism, duplicate publication, and other ethical violations.
• The Publisher is committed to preserving the integrity of the scholarly record through corrections, expressions of concern, and retractions when required.
Publication Malpractice
The following practices are considered unacceptable:
• Plagiarism and self-plagiarism
• Data fabrication or falsification
• Duplicate or redundant publication
• Citation manipulation
• Undisclosed conflicts of interest
• Misrepresentation of authorship
• Peer-review manipulation
• Submission of fraudulent or misleading research findings
Handling Ethical Violations
When suspected misconduct is identified, the journal may conduct an investigation and request explanations or supporting documentation from the involved parties. Depending on the severity of the violation, actions may include manuscript rejection, publication correction, article retraction, notification of affiliated institutions, or temporary restrictions on future submissions.
