Plagiarism Policy

 

Jana Nexus: Journal of Computer Science maintains a strict policy against plagiarism and is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing. Authors are expected to submit original work and appropriately acknowledge the contributions, ideas, data, and words of others through proper citation and referencing.

Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

• Copying text, ideas, images, tables, figures, or data from another source without proper acknowledgment.

• Presenting another person’s work or research findings as one’s own.

• Self-plagiarism, including the reuse of substantial portions of previously published work without appropriate citation or disclosure.

• Improper paraphrasing or close imitation of another author’s work without attribution.

• Duplicate or redundant publication of the same or substantially similar research in multiple journals or publication venues.

Author Responsibilities

Authors must ensure that:

• All submitted manuscripts are original and have not been copied from previously published sources.

• All borrowed content is properly cited and referenced.

• Quotations, figures, tables, and copyrighted materials are used with appropriate acknowledgment and permission where required.

• The manuscript does not contain any form of academic misconduct related to plagiarism.

Plagiarism Screening

All manuscripts submitted to Jana Nexus may be screened using plagiarism-detection tools and editorial assessment procedures before and during the review process. The Editorial Board reserves the right to conduct additional investigations whenever concerns regarding originality arise.

Consequences of Plagiarism

If plagiarism or other forms of academic misconduct are identified, the journal may take one or more of the following actions:

• Immediate rejection of the manuscript.

• Request for revision and correction of improperly cited content.

• Withdrawal of the manuscript from the review process.

• Retraction of a published article.

• Notification to the author’s affiliated institution or funding organization when appropriate.

• Restriction on future submissions to the journal for serious or repeated violations.

Post-Publication Discovery

If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the journal will investigate the matter and may publish corrections, expressions of concern, or formal retractions as necessary to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record.
